6 October 2026 – On Monday, 5 October, the first pile was driven for The Double, our new logistics centre at Schiphol Trade Park. With this innovative multi-level concept, we will once again bring cross-docking, warehousing and e-fulfilment together at a single location. This is the first time in the Netherlands that these different logistics functions are being realised above one another in this way.
The official ceremony was carried out by Edwin Beentjes, Managing Director of CTS GROUP, together with Marja Ruigrok, Alderman of the Municipality of Haarlemmermeer, Eva Klein Schiphorst, Managing Director of SADC, and Jean-Alexandre Manchès on behalf of CTS GROUP Property.
Making smart use of height
The limited availability of land in the Schiphol region calls for a different approach to construction. With The Double, we are therefore quite literally building upwards. The ground floor will feature a double-sided cross-dock, with warehousing and e-fulfilment located above it.
Combining these functions within a single multi-level building places specific demands on the construction, layout and logistics processes. At the same time, this design allows us to make optimal use of the available land and bring our activities together at one location once again. This will enable transport, storage and fulfilment to work seamlessly together.
Room for the next step
At our current location, we are reaching the limits of our capacity, layout and scalability in several areas. The Double gives us the space to further develop our operations, introduce new technologies and grow alongside our customers’ changing needs.

A deliberate choice for Schiphol Trade Park
At Schiphol Trade Park, we have found a location that aligns with our ambitions in sustainable development, innovation and efficient use of space. At the same time, it allows us to remain connected to the region in which CTS GROUP has been based for many years. The Double will be connected to Schiphol Trade Park’s collective energy system. Among other benefits, this will provide additional charging capacity to support the further electrification of our vehicle fleet. The building will also feature a green roof, a greywater system and nature-inclusive landscaping. Inside, a modern working environment will be created with a focus on ergonomics, collaboration and connection between teams.
The Double in figures
The Double will be built on a 22,400 m² site and will have approximately 45,000 m² of gross floor area. The new facility will feature 63 loading docks, capacity for 22,000 pallets and an AutoStore system with capacity for 40,000 bins.
The Double is being developed in collaboration with Movares, Hercuton and 4Building. As the area developer, SADC is closely involved in the development of the location.
