That is what we are convinced of at CTS GROUP. With a focus on reducing our CO2 emissions in all facets of our organization and offsetting the emissions from our fleet, we stand for sustainable transport of your shipments. 

We carry out the majority of our shipments via network distribution. Thanks to collaborations with various distribution networks and partners in Europe, we guarantee an optimal loading level of the trailers and limited transport movements. In addition, our drivers are in possession of code 95, which emphasizes safe, economical and environmentally conscious driving. Thanks to our commitment to sustainable transport and CO2 reduction, we have entered the Lean & Green program with 2 stars in 2021. According to the benchmark data, this is equivalent to a 30% relative CO2 reduction. But we go further. Currently we are working on a plan to further reduce our CO2 emissions. In addition, from 2020 all shipments that we carry out with our own fleet will be 100% climate neutral. Via Climate Neutral Group we offset the CO2 emissions by investing in project Maísa, that counteracts climate change by reducing deforestation in Brazil.

Of course, we follow all developments closely and keep our eyes open for new, innovative opportunities to limit damage to the environment and to conduct our activities as sustainably as possible.

Reducing deforestation

Trees play an important role in slowing down climate change. Still, Brazil is subject to significant deforestation. The Maísa climate project reduces CO2 emissions by working with the local population to prevent deforestation and combat unplanned and illegal logging. In addition, the project focuses on combating the mechanism of poverty, preserving biodiversity and maintaining vital ecosystem services. To offset our CO2 emissions we work together with Climate Neutral. This organization is a member of the International Carbon Reduction and Offset Alliance (ICROA) and guarantees reliable climate compensation. The Maísa climate project is VCS Standard certified and follows the REDD + approach. The VCS certification guarantees that the realized CO2 reduction is monitored and checked via an audit. The socio-economic benefits and biodiversity conservation comply with the Community and Biodiversity Standard (CCBS).
