Register and deliver shipments

Questions about registering or registering shipments? see our glossary below. Can’t find a question? Contact us.

As a CTS GROUP customer, you can access your customer account on My CTS GROUP, where you can book your shipments online. You can then immediately print the necessary transport labels. Do you often have several shipments and would you like to book them in bulk? Then you can upload a batch file via the customer website.

When booking a shipment, it is always important to provide the contact and address details of the loading and unloading address, the preferred loading and/or delivery date, the weight and the dimensions of the shipment.

In addition, it is important that you provide the information below if applicable:

  • A loading or unloading flap is required
  • That it is an ADR or T1 shipment
  • The contact person and contact details for an import shipment
  • Whether there are any special instructions
  • What the A or P quotation number is when price agreements are applicable

After the initial contact, we will check your details and make the necessary (payment) agreements. You can start booking your shipments once we have processed this. This happens during office hours and in most cases within the hour. A credit check is part of the implementation process.

If the loading or unloading address is not easily accessible, it is best to contact us to discuss the possibilities.

If you do not have loading or unloading facilities, we can still, of course, load/unload. You must indicate that a flap is needed when loading or unloading. You can easily choose this option when booking via the customer website.

Yes, we also have the possibility for these shipments. When booking the shipment, you can indicate in which time frame it should be loaded or unloaded.

Today, more addresses are only available for delivery when an appointment has been made in advance. This is often the case with marketplaces such as bol.com and Amazon. We call this a booking. We have launched a product specifically for deliveries to marketplaces: marketplace distribution.

At CTS GROUP, we load and unload your shipment during office hours (9.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.). Would you like the shipment to be loaded or unloaded at a specific time? Then you can book a time frame.

The duration indicated on the order confirmation is a maximum, and the loading/unloading days are an indication. We ensure that the shipment is picked up and delivered within this period.

Do you prefer we load and/or unload at a specific time? Then book a fixed date or timed delivery. You can easily indicate this via the customer website.

Yes, we can call the contact person at the unloading address to let them know exactly when the shipment will be unloaded. We can also agree on how long in advance we will call.

No, we do not do that. At CTS GROUP, we work with paperless transport, and we use local networks that have their own proof of delivery. If you specifically want the shipment to be signed off on the original CMR, this must be made known before booking.

At CTS GROUP, we always provide a free digital proof of delivery (IOD = Information Of Delivery) for all shipments. These IODs can be downloaded from the shipment overview in your customer account. An official POD is only provided on request.

At CTS GROUP, we naturally do our utmost to deliver the shipment at the agreed time. However, holidays, weather conditions, customs issues and other matters can influence the duration. We, therefore, have a minimum delivery reliability of 95% within the duration.

At CTS GROUP, we work with paperless transport. You can directly upload important documents when booking the shipment via the customer website. If important documents must remain with the consignment, you can stick them on. You must specifically hand over the ADR and T1 documents to the driver.

It is important that the packaging protects the goods under normal transport conditions. Make sure that the load fits within the carrier size and does not protrude. How best to pack the shipment further depends on the type of goods and their vulnerability. Do you have any questions about this? You can always contact us. We will be happy to advise you.

We will certainly handle your shipment with care. In case of unforeseen damage, you must report this to us within seven days of unloading using the damage report form in your customer account. As soon as we have received the form, we will contact you to solve everything in the best possible way.

Please note: if you notice visible damage at the time of delivery, it is essential that this is also stated in writing on the delivery note (the POD) and that you and the driver sign off with a legible name and date.

At CTS GROUP, we transport your shipments with standard insurance coverage based on CMR (international) or AVC (inland) conditions. This may mean that we have (limited) liability, provided that it can be proven that the damage occurred during the transport and by us. If, for example, it turns out that inadequate protective packaging was used, the cause lies with the consignor and not the carrier, so we cannot accept responsibility for the damage.
